Abstract
With this background the study had conducted with the following objectives. Morphological and seeds characterization of Toona ciliata provenances in three states. The aim of the study was to determine genetic seeds germination and seedling performances of Toona ciliata collected from different provenances. A variation was observed in mean, germination percent, seeds color seeds, weights, heritability genetic advances, genetic gain and genetic parameters. The variation was observed in all different characteristics behavior among the samples of Toona ciliata collected from different provenances. The present study is helpful in selecting good provenances on the basis of good performances such as phenotypic, seeds and seedlings characteristic etc. The significant variation observed among different provenances may probably be influenced by different intensities of natural constraints acting upon these traits in the prevailing geographic conditions.
