Tree of states and union territories of India: An overview

Abstract
Republic of India is made up of 28 states and 8 union territories. All Indian states have their own government and the Union territories come under the jurisdiction of the Central Government. All States and Union territories have their own administrative seals, symbols, animals, birds, flowers and trees. All twenty eight States have their State tree and six Union territories have designated their tree. The members of the seventeen families of angiosperm represent as a State and Union territories tree and one member of gymnosperm of the family Pinaceae designated as a State tree of Himachal Pradesh.
