Floristic diversity in the Arthanareeshwarar hills, Tiruchengode, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu

Abstract
Enumeration of floral species study has been conducted in the Arthanaareeshwarar hills, located at Tiruchengode. During this study, 319 species and 89 families of plant species were recorded. Among them most of the plant species were recorded for Poaceae (28 species) followed by Euphorbiaceae (12 species), Malvaceae (11 species), Apocynaceae (10 species) and Asteraceae (9 species). Very rich diversity of floral species of were found in this hills and it is also a home for many life forms of plants such as epiphytic, herbaceous, shrubs, climbers and trees.
