Abstract
Ethnobotany is the scientific study of the relationship between human
societies and plants, particularly focusing on how indigenous and tribal
communities utilize plants for medicinal purposes. Tribal populations possess a
vast reservoir of traditional knowledge regarding the use of local flora for
healthcare. This research paper aims to document and analyze the use of
medicinal plants by tribal communities, highlighting their therapeutic
applications, preparation methods, and cultural significance. The study also
emphasizes the importance of conserving this traditional knowledge, which is
rapidly declining due to modernization and environmental degradation.
Ethnobotanical studies play a crucial role in drug discovery, biodiversity
conservation, and sustainable development.
