Abstract
A shrub of great importance, Cassia tora L. (Fabaceae) is usually seen
as a weed growing on an annual basis in various Asian and African nations. In
the wet season in Asia, Cassia tora Linn., 1.2 m tall (Caesalpiniaceae) has
been observed as a rampant weed. He’s just a small herb or under shrub for one
year. It has been used to treat liver problems, ophthalmic disorders, skin
diseases and ringworm infections in traditional medicine worldwide because it
is known to be laxative or an agent helping relieve constipation. The given
review deals with cassia tora taxonomy; the physical features of its leaves,
seeds, roots and fruit pods are described together with its applications Also
this section represents chemical composition in detail. Different extracts of
Cassia tora exhibit different activities including phytochemical analysis of
leaf extract for instance detectcassia tora mucilage acts as potent suspending
agent release retardant that makes metformin safe to be used in the
