Abstract
Development of an eco-friendly, reliable and rapid process of
biological synthesis of nanoparticles is an important role in
Nanobiotechnology. The present study reveals the utility of aqueous extract
of Hypnea valentiae (Turner) Montagne for the green
synthesis of Silver nanoparticles. The formation of silver nanoparticles was
confirmed by colour change, and the Characterization of nanoparticles was done
by UV-Visible Spectroscopy, FT-IR, X-Ray Diffraction Method (XRD). The
synthesized silver nanoparticles showed an absorbance at 418nm on UV-Visible
spectroscopy. The presence of proteins was identified by Fourier
Transform-Infra Red spectroscopy (FT-IR). The presence of elemental silver was
characterized by X-Ray Diffraction Method (XRD).
